At Knight Dental Care, we understand your concerns regarding the use of mercury fillings. Accordingly, at our offices we have elected to offer our patients the option of using advanced, new fillings made of tooth-colored materials that contain no metals or mercury.
Fillings & Crowns
At our office, At our office we offer tooth colored fillings. Tooth-colored material can be used both as fillings & to repair defects in the teeth. Because they are tooth-colored, it is difficult to distinguish them from natural teeth. These fillings are often used on the front teeth, where a natural appearance is important. They can be used on the back teeth as well, depending on the location & extent of the tooth decay.
cover & support a tooth with a large filling when there isn't enough tooth left. It can be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak tooth from breaking, or restore one that's already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It's also used to cover a dental implant. A crown can make your tooth stronger & improve its appearance.
This includes our regular dental hygiene visits, sealants, mouthguards & patient/parent education. We place a high emphasis on sealants, which are effective in preventing tooth decay on the biting surfaces of chewing teeth. This plastic coating, which is clear or tooth-colored, is applied to deep pits & grooves. This seals them in the areas where decay is most likely to begin. At less than half the cost of conventional fillings, without anesthetics or drilling, sealants are one of the most important preventive services we have.
Filtered Water Lines
We understand your concern about water quality & the importance of keeping your family healthy. For this reason, we utilize filtered water lines during our dental procedures. By filtering the water used in dental procedures, we are able to get rid of any substances that may compromise the health of our patients. The safety, health & dental care of patients are our top priorities. This is just another way to show how much we care!
Healthy Gums Lead to a Healthy Body!
Continued research has linked gum disease to diabetes, heart disease & low birth weight. In an effort to rid your teeth of the plaque & tartar that cause gum disease (gingivitis) & tooth decay, your dental care hygienist may suggest a regimen of care that requires more frequent visits. These visits are recommended to remove the offending plaque & tartar.
